Japanese Embroidery Workshop

If your guild might be interested in Japanese embroidery, have a look at Marian Preshing’s proposed workshop:
In this two-day workshop the student will be introduced to an ancient (1600 years old) form of embroidery from Japan. The instructor will provide tools, filament silk and metallic threads to be used during workshop to create a 3-inch X 3.5-inch design of two cherry blossoms, two leaves and 3 buds on a 7-inch square piece of kimono fabric. Kit fee $25.00 per student. Maximum number of students in each workshop 17. Full details here.
