The Embroiderers’ Association of Canada has passed on info about a virtual embroidery workshop that ONN members might like. It’s “Tatreez and Tea” on August 20th from 7-9 pm with artist and researcher Wafa Ghnaim, hosted by the Art Gallery of Burlington.

Wafa is an American-born Palestinian artist, who will be sharing her research and work related to preserving the Palestinian art of Tatreez. During the workshop, Wafa will also lead the participants in learning how to embroider traditional Tatreez. The event is pay-what-you can ($40 suggested).
