Norfolk’s Own Needle Arts Guild would like to extend an invitation to members of O.N.N to a presentation on antique samplers by Lianne van Leyen.
Lianne is an artist, antique sampler and reproductionist, cross stitcher and the owner of 1897 Schoolhouse Samplers. She has an extensive collection of schoolgirl samplers dating from 1726-1978. These samplers come from various countries, such as Great Britain, the Netherlands, France, Spain, Switzerland, Canada and the U.S.A. She is committed to reproducing antique needlework and patterns for the modern stitcher. This presentation will show some of her collection, helping us to learn more about samplers and their history. We hope you can join us for this informative presentation.
It is with regret that Norfolks Own Needle Arts Guild has cancelled the Lianne van Leyen presentation on antique samplers that was scheduled to take place on September 20 at Waterford Church. Unfortunately there was not enough interest expressed for our small guild to afford to continue with this endeavour.
