A small grouping in the Art of the Needle exhibition
As part of Scarborough Needle Arts Guild’s 40th anniversary celebrations, they held a exhibition in May titled Art of the Needle. It was a beautiful exhibit and I’m very glad I made the trip. There was a wide range of projects on display, from small stitching accessories to large tablecloths. Needlework techniques included the traditional and contemporary.

Entries in the guild’s ruby challenge were on display, winners in the original design category were Jean Dix, 1st place and Meagan Mather, 2nd place. In the category of adapted pattern design, 1st place went to Karen Doak, and 2nd place to Barbara Leach. Unfortunately, I don’t have photos of Karen’s or Barbra’s winning entries. If anyone has photos we can use, kindly send them along.
